Our Practice

Our practice has been providing comprehensive family eye care to patients in Milton and the surrounding area since 1987 when the practice was established by Dr. Susan Jany. Dr. Jany has been joined by Dr. Benu Sabharwal and Dr. Beth Schellenberg to form a team of doctors dedicated to serving your eye care needs for life.

Milton Family Eye Care is a full-service primary care optometric practice. We perform complete eye exams which check both your vision and your eye health. A thorough and comprehensive eye exam is an important part of taking care of your overall health. All of our optometrists are trained to diagnose and detect eye problems and diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal problems.

Our office is equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment. We work closely with other surgical and medical professionals so that we can refer you for further assessment or treatment if required. We also provide a full selection of eyeglasses, specialty lenses, contact lenses, and contact lens solutions.

We are proud to support Optometry Giving Sight, the only global charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people who are visually impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses. Through donations of used glasses and annual participation in the World Sight Day Challenge, we support this important initiative.

Milton Family Eye Care has been participating in the Eye See…Eye Learn program since its inception. This program encourages all children of Junior Kindergarten age to have a comprehensive eye exam with an optometrist. OHIP covers the cost of the eye exam for all children up to the age of 20 and the Eye See… Eye Learn program entitles any participating child who needs glasses to a pair free of charge.
