Amina

Office Manager, Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant

As our office manager, Amina is committed to guiding our team to provide an outstanding eye care experience to our patients. She has been a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant since 2018 and has been working in optometry for more than a decade. Her wide range of skills means that you’ll find her hard at work in many areas of the practice. Amina is also pleased to help patients in Afrikaans, Tamil, and Hindi.

Janet

Janet joined us in 2018 with years of health care experience with a different kind of patient: animals (horses in particular)!  Her background in biology and decades of work as a riding instructor have contributed to the technical knowledge and calm manner that she brings to the role she loves as an optometric technician.

Nikki

Nikki loves her role as one of our friendly patient care coordinators, expertly guiding patients either on the phone or in the clinic. With her strong attention to detail, she is key in keeping our schedules running smoothly and ensuring the best care for our patients.

Angela

Angela has a versatile role at Milton Family Eye Care, ranging from patient pre-testing to front desk duties, all of which she handles with her consistently cheerful manner. She loves connecting and keeping up with our patients of all ages. Her wonderful baking skills are renowned among the team!

Aqsa

Aqsa is the most recent addition to our team and she has embraced her dual role as both an optometric technician and a patient care coordinator. She enjoys working with our team to provide quality care to our patients. Aqsa is pleased to help our patients in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, as well as in English.

Special appearances

After many wonderful years with Milton Family Eye Care as our office manager and bookkeeper, Judy has retired to spend time with her family and friends, although she can still sometimes be found helping out the team.

Irene

Optical Manager, Licensed Optician, Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant

Irene joined our team in 2019, with an extensive background in health care. The pandemic provided her with an opportunity to expand her role in the practice to the dispensary, where she discovered her passion for eyewear and the technical wonders of optical lenses and frames. As our Optical Manager and a Licensed Optician, Irene leads our team of expert opticians in providing quality eyewear and service to our patients. Irene is very happy to use her fluent Spanish whenever needed.

Devin

Intern Optician

As a central member of our dispensing team, Devin enjoys working with people of all ages to help them look and see their best.  Her enthusiasm for eyewear and her ability to connect with patients often make for lively times in the dispensary. Devin’s technical knowledge is up-to-the-minute as she studies to become a licensed optician.

Licensed Optician

Susan brings over three and a half decades of experience as an eye care professional to her role as a member of Milton Family Eye Care’s dispensing team.  With her strong interest in the technical aspects of lens design and a real appreciation of how important eyewear is to personal style, Susan is keen to help our patients find eyewear that is fashionable, functional, and fun!

Licensed Optician

Terri joined the Milton Family Eye Care team of licensed opticians in 2017 and she loves to provide our patients with customized, fashionable eyewear solutions. Terri is proud to be one of our trio of team members (along with Dr. Jany and fellow optician Susan) with more than thirty five years of experience as an eye care professional!
